26 Flavours
of Cornwall
The Poly, Falmouth
06—14 August 2011
*
Freshly picked words and mouth-watering design combine to celebrate Cornish food and drink in a show that's good enough to eat.
If you'd like to buy prints of the 26 Flavours, you can order them direct from the excellent A0 Printworks of Redruth - the same people who printed the work in the show.
Each full-colour giclée print measures 594mm x 420mm and costs £22.50 (unmounted), including postage and packing to UK destinations.
To order your prints. please email a0printer@btconnect.com, saying which print you would like (e.g. Cornish Pasties, Kea Plums...) and giving your postal address. A0 Printworks will let you know how to make payment, and once they've received it they'll print your flavour and send it to you.
We're donating all profits from selling prints (after printer's costs) to Endelienta, a charity that is an offshoot of the wonderful St Endellion music festival that takes place near Padstow every year.
Endelienta is developing the site at St Endellion to make the unique charm and inspiration of the St Endellion experience available to a much wider audience, all through the year. The space will be used for courses, retreats and perfomances by writers, as well as by musicians and visual artists. And they’re also creating a bursary fund to enable young people to participate in these who might not otherwise be able to do so.
Patrick
Gale, the novelist who is also one third of the 26 Flavours Saffron team, says:
“St Endellion drew me to Cornwall in my twenties. Its unsponsored, idiosyncratic festivals are as much a cornerstone of Cornish culture as the Minack Theatre, Barbara Hepworth and the pasty and change young lives every year. The Endelienta project will enable many more people, throughout the year, to be inspired by the unique spell of the place.”
